What is RestorFX?
When your vehicle’s paint is covered in scuffs, swirls, and fading, it can look older and more neglected than it really is. RestorFX’s Paintless Clearcoat Repair is a professional restoration system that permanently restores the durability and luster of your original paint finish—without repainting.
Unlike traditional products, this Paintless Clearcoat Repair technology does more than cover up scratches. Through a polymimetic surface regeneration process, RestorFX permanently removes 99% of scuffs, fading, weathering, swirls, and more by mimicking, replicating, and restoring the original paint finish.
This is not a detail, and it’s not a body shop respray. RestorFX is its own category—permanent clearcoat repair with the speed and convenience of a high-end detail shop, so you can drive a vehicle that looks like you still care about it every single day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers for how RestorFX works, what it fixes, what it costs, and how the First Coast process fits your vehicle.
What is RestorFX?
RestorFX is a professionally applied chemical process that reactivates, rejuvenates, and permanently restores the original factory finish of your vehicle.
Is RestorFX the same as a detail or polish?
Is RestorFX the same as a respray or body shop repair?
No. RestorFX restores your vehicle’s original factory paint rather than replacing it. A respray or body shop repair repaints damaged areas, but RestorFX revives the clarity, color depth, and gloss already in your existing paint, often with dramatic results, while preserving the value of the original finish. For damaged panels, peeling paint, or collision work, traditional body shop services may still be needed, and Turbo Finish can help build the right repair plan to get your vehicle looking its best quickly and affordably.
Does RestorFX protect my vehicle?
Yes. Instead of applying a sacrificial layer like wax or a temporary coating, RestorFX adds new clearcoat material that bonds to your existing finish. The result is a harder, more UV-resistant surface that helps protect the original paint underneath.
What kinds of damage can RestorFX fix?
RestorFX repairs up to 99% of clearcoat damage including scratches, scuffs, swirl marks, oxidation, fading, and UV weathering. It is not suitable for deep paint chips that reach bare metal or damage that has compromised the structural integrity of a panel.
How long does RestorFX last?
RestorFX is a permanent restoration treatment. Once cured, it bonds chemically with your original paint finish. Any clearcoat damage repaired during the treatment is permanently repaired. Like any finish, it can still experience new wear over time, which is why basic aftercare is recommended.
How long does the process take?
Most vehicles are completed and ready for pickup within about 24 hours, depending on vehicle condition and the services selected during your assessment.
How much does RestorFX cost?
Full-vehicle Paintless Clearcoat Repair at RestorFX First Coast is priced by vehicle type. Final pricing is confirmed at your consultation based on size and paint condition.
